Rationalization

I walked to the day job today. Unusual for me, but my reason was compelling.

1) As a conscientious citizen I felt the need to save a days gas and oil, and decrease the ozone depleting exhaust from my car.
2) Ever health conscious, I decided I needed to work some junk off my trunk.
3) Always a social creature, I wanted an opportunity to say good morning to my neighbors and shop keepers along the way.
4) It's pouring down rain and my convertible is leaking, therefore I had to leave it parked and under cover.

Isn't it amazing how we can rationalize our way to reaching whatever conclusion we want?

Kat, too funny! I know I do this...
I can make 'white' be 'black' if I need to do it. And the reason will be totally plausible. LOL

You mean if the convertible wasn't leaking you would actually be able to take it out into the rain???

Hmmm. . . I'm only allowed to take hubby's convertible out if the sun is shining, the temperature is not too hot, nor too cold, etc. I have to have a talk with that man!

An excellent philosophy Dave.

Jackie, don't you think we girls are excellent at making black white? Its a gift.

Sunflower, amazingly enough even convertables work in rainy, snowy and hot weather. Unless, of course, their lid is leaking.

I think girls are born with the ability to rationalize--and we get better with practice. I practice all the time.
